North Dakota Badlands in late summer

The North Dakota badlands are an outdoor lover's delight. Early September, 2006. It was a beautiful day for a hike. The rolling plains of North Dakota suddenly break into the badlands. They just sort of appear. To really appreciate them you have to get out into them and explore. A camera will enable you to share the experience with others.

Expect to see some interesting formations and perhaps some wildlife. On this particular trip I saw about 20 mule deer, including a beautiful 5x5 buck, and 3 cottontail rabbits. Oh, and prairie dogs were abundant if you went looking for them.
