Why did you choose to focus on the great outdoors? Because we love it. We grew up on farms and in small towns in North Dakota and Montana. We have hunted, hiked, fished, and camped as long as we can remember. It was just a natural fit for us. Why did you start this business? We actually “backed into” this business. Leroy had a friend who was having problems with his web site. This friend approached Leroy for some help. Two weeks later that web site was ranked in the first page of the major search engines. Someone asked this friend how he got his site ranked like that. He said, “Call Leroy.” And a business was born! Additionally, it is a means of marrying two of our hobbies – the great outdoors and the internet. We love the great outdoors and want to promote it. We thought it would be a great way to assist in economic development in rural areas. And, it gives us good reason to talk to outdoorsmen and women all over the country. Why are your prices generally lower than others? Number one is that this is as much a hobby for us as it is a business. Secondly, is that it is only a part-time business. We all have day jobs and this is just something we do evenings and weekends. Thirdly, we have virtual offices so we have very low overhead; our offices are wherever our laptops and cell phones happen to be. Fourthly, we don’t believe in gauging our customers. Fifthly, we entered into some long-term contracts for server space which enables us to lower costs. What kind of up-time do your servers have? We outsource our hosting. Our hosts have multiple backup servers as well as several fiber optic cables to provide very fast access that is on-line over 99% of the time.
